Homecoming and Videos

We are just now coming out from under a cloud of sickness. Fall came and brought with it a nasty bug that made its way through 3 members of our family. I'm the last (wo)man standing and am hoping and praying that I make it through unscathed. Sophie had 2 nights of constant vomiting, then a week later Erik came down with it, then Sophie and Micah had some trouble with the other end of things. But I think we're all healthy now and ready to enjoy this great weather!

Last weekend we went to Chattanooga and Dayton for my 5-year reunion at Bryan. It was great to spend some time with some of my best friends. We played a little volleyball on Friday night - it was the first time I'd played since the alumni game 2 years ago and it was not pretty. But it was so fun and I'm thankful to Erik for keeping the kiddos at his grandparents' house so I could play. Saturday we went to the school for the Homecoming soccer game, then went back to a friend's house for some chili and fellowship. Sophie found a new boyfriend and hasn't stopped talking about him since. Incidentally, Beccs, thanks for sharing your husband with my daughter. And Danny, thanks for being so sweet to her.

We also got to spend some quality time with Papa and Mimi, Erik's grandparents. They are so sweet and encouraging. Sophie hadn't been there long Friday night before Great-Papa was crawling on the floor and playing hide-and-seek with her. And we were so glad Micah got to meet them too!
