A week and 1/2 ago Sophie and I flew up to visit my parents in VA. I was a little nervous about the flight, especially when I found out every seat was full and I would have to hold her on my lap the whole way. However she did great both ways and made lots of new friends. God was so good to surround us with grandparents on the flight there, and on the way back we got to fly with our friends, the Ericsons, as they were headed to Nashville. So special thanks to Carl and Pam for all your assistance. This top picture is Sophie getting ready to board the plane. She was so excited for her first flight and could hardly contain herself.
Needless to say my parents were slightly overjoyed to see "us" (come on, I think everyone knows who they were really excited to see - I've faced the facts and gotten used to it, although they do try to make me feel wanted as well). From the picture of the three of them you can see that Sophie is starting to understand how exciting grandparent time is - it's like she knows already that they are going to spoil her rotten. We had a great time with them, although it was too short. Hopefully I can get some pictures from my mom to post in the days to come - she was the paparazzo while we were there.
